Chef Jason at World Read Aloud Day 2020

Chef Jason had the esteemed pleasure to partake in World Read Aloud Day 2020 in association with Hodder Education, United Kingdom and the Ministry of Education, Trinidad & Tobago. Chef Jason visited the Central area of Trinidad in Cunupia / Enterprise where he met with Principal Crystal Khan who prepared her Standard 2 Class in assembly form to listen to two imaginative and mind stimulating stories read by Chef Jason Peru. In addition to his animated, emotional and passionate style of reading to the youngsters ranging from ages 6 - 7 years, he also spoke to them in-depth about the Nation’s watch words of Discipline, Tolerance and Production. He beseeched them to always be respectful to their elders, exercise immense kindness to their fellow men and study hard to aspire to become whatever they dreamt of being in life. Chef Jason has been an active personality in visiting primary schools and providing career guidance to students and hosting inspirational talks. This is the second year Chef Jason had teamed up with Hodder Education to execute this important literacy exercise and looks forward to continuing this positive initiative in the future.
